Hello everyone,
I thought I'd post about my first neuro visit. She ordered an MRI of the brain and C-spine, and also an EMG.
The exam was interesting. My husband said when she was examining my eyes she kept frowning - she kept going back and forth, then said Hmmm and turned off the lights. She made no comment.
Then, she performed the rest of the neuro exam, and she said I had an abnormal response when she was doing something with my fingernail - she did it over and over again. I don't know for sure what she saw or what it means, but she commented a couple of times that it was abnormal.
My Husband said he saw no reaction when she did the Babinski test - I have had this done before, and usually my right foot will respond correctly, but my left one does not respond at all - but according to him, neither of them responded at all today.
The heel to toe walk was fun too - I kept falling over - I think I made about 3 steps. I have reported poor balance to my reg. doc for a while now, but he never seems interested.
The rest of the stuff I don't know about. She was very nice though.
The MRI is on the 21st. I guess we'll know more later.
Stacie
