Hi all,
Saw my neuro yesterday. We are going to try the Cymbalta for 2 more weeks to see if I get any relief and/or get rid of the side effects. If that doesn't work, we try neurontin. If that doesn't work she was talking about an implantable device. Well, that scared me enough that I forgot to ask why I have so much nerve pain (burning up and down my spine, and electrical shocks) if I have no lesions on my spine. Any insight from all of you would be appreciated.
She told me to go back to 20mg Bacofen at bedtime with the Cymbalta for the muscle spasms. We might change to zanaflex for them.
She looked at and measured my swollen right calf and thigh and it is indeed 2 inches bigger. Not from MS or fibro, doesn't feel it is DVT either, so we are stumped. Pulses are good. She is going to talk with my PCP to maybe do a test on the arterial bloodflow. I am so used to being a puzzle I actually find it funny now.
Trying to keep cool, it has been over 100 for some 30 days here, all the weather man are keeping track of breaking records, I just want 80 degrees back.
Take care,
Debbie
