fitting your bag into blue jeans

I am really struggling with figuring out how to where low waisted jeans with this bag.  I do not own any jeans that fit on my waist.  All of my jeans either have the waistband that lays on my stoma or the waistband is under the wafer so I feel like when I sit down that the blue jeans waistband will pop the wafer off my skin like a pop bottle opener.  I am scared that the waistband on top of the stoma may damage it.  The good news is that my dress clothes are not going to be an issue but these blue jeans appear to be.  Any advice?

is it possible to wear ur jeans just a little lower on ur waist? i mean without them sliding off? mayb it will make u feel more comfortable?

I am really struggling. I tried a different pair of jeans today that was alittle taller and they "stretch" and it was better but still not comfortable. I found myself unbuttoning them while in the car. I may just be too premature to wear regular clothes. I have just found with the majority of my jeans, the waistband comes across my stoma (which worries me) or below the wafer so the tape idea down there may be a good idea. It makes me feel like I should go out and buy high waisted jeans........which is just not what I am use to wearing. I just want to figure out a way to incorporate my regular style somehow without being paranoid. I really think that once my stomach is less tender and less swollen then my jeans will be even bigger in the waist and probably this will all resolve itself. Right now, my bag even fills up with air and then the bag starts coming out the top of my jeans. I guess just a trail-and-error thing and getting to know this new thing on my body. I am also having this problem!!! i am 21 and am 5 months scince opp and have only now started looking for jeans. I miss being able to just chuck on a pair of jeans or even normal pants and be off. But i think the solution is high waisted jeans. Although they are hard to find but its just another uniquness that i have now had to accept. Dont know about you guys but i also have this problem with seat belts (rubbing on my stoma) i know it probly dosent effect it but its always in the back of my mind!!

Since you're only a couple of weeks post-op, your belly is probably too tender to wear anything too tight right now. It will get better. Also, the output will slow down over time, so the bag won't puff up so much.

Like Clo Bo said, you could try a pair of higher waisted jeans that are maybe one size larger. If you wear them with a cute top that hangs out and covers the top of them, nobody will know they're not low waisted.

the low waisted stretch jeans in a size larger are good too! when i sit down, i just pull the waist band above my stoma ( i have terrible posture and i dont sit straight lol) and then when u stand up just pull them back down. I bought a pair of high waisted jeans that were sooo cute, but found them to b a little to constricting, i was afraid of popping of my flange. Then again that could have to do with the fact that i was 105 when ii bought them and i now weigh 120! lol hey they were stretch, i figured i'd give them a try!

I am too new to know whether I will loose or gain but with my change in diet from fruits and veg's with UC (that I could surprisingly tolerate b.c I was on prednsione, I guess) and now I am eating pasta and potatoes (which I NEVER ate), I am scared to gain weight. I am looking forward to getting off this GI soft diet so where I can start eating salads etc again and get back on a better diet so I do not end up like a blimp. As for jeans, I tried a really low pair today and then kept sliding off.........very frustrating. I will keep pluggin away at it.
