Any ileostomate TUBE down the river in 95 degree heat?

Tomorrow we are going to use the big inner tubes to float down the San Marcos River in Hot Texas! I will try and pray the Sure Seal rings will keep my wafer on and won't have to change it all in a public bathroom. I have not had my swim suit on for years! Has anyone done this or any other water sport in the heat? What to expect. We have been doing long bike rides in the country, 30 to 40 miles, and my wafer melts...that leaks, not the poop. The coloplast wafer totally melts when I sweat? (and a holister one today melted) I have been trying different companies again to see which works best again. I like the cymed triathalon ad, but I prefer a 2 piece bag. Any ideas??? scool

EAKIN SEALS!!  I've tried the others, but always go back to these.  I am very active, like the beach, excercise and so on and they do hold very well.  Sometimes I only get a 3 day wear time (if I've been doing alot) but the seal has never sprung a leak.  I keep the "donut" intact and put it right over the opening on the wafer of my two piece.  I clean and dry my stoma area and apply.

Eakin seals are a good bet. I would also bring extra supplies and consider taping or "window-paning" around the seal.

We had a great time today! :-) The tube ride was about 2 hours in water and sun. Water was low and had to get up to walk a little. When I wasn't near my family, I would peak at the bag under my swimsuit to see what was going on. Everything was perfect! I wore 2 of the Sure Seals from Active Lifestyles...one big one and the small round one. It gave me a double clear seal to keep water out. My Coloplast Assura wafer/barrier didn't even turn white and melt any... I think when I sweat from bike rides and walk/running, it then melts from the skin out, not stuff inside leaking. It did this even with the Holister one also. We drank tons of water so we would not get dehydrated! The San Marcos river was nice and cool against the 92 degree heat!

I have a question about Eakin seals... They are so big and it seems when I tried them, my wafer didn't stay on as good. Or maybe my 1 3/4" wafer and 1" stoma size is too small for them? I hardly ever have the leak with 'poop' but the actual seal melts. Maybe I'm too hot blooded? Too much exercise. I am still wearing the same set up I put on last night and nothing is messed up after a day outside and in water. Maybe now I can do more water sports? As any one done a hot tub or wet sauna and the gym?
