Feeling better about wait list

Thank you to everyone for your kind words of support.

  I realize my post about waiting for surgery was very selfish as some of you do not have that option.

  I meant what I said about being angry for a moment - and I am definitely over it.

I went Rock climbing this weekend - and had a blast - I did not need to worry about diarhea and took the advice of taking an immodium before I went.

  I had a great day and was thankful for my ostomy...

 

So thanks again for your kind words... and to Healingwell for having this site that allows me to vent.

that isn't selfish of you at all! i know it's hard to have to wait for surgery. I had to wait too, and it made me so freakign mad!!! I was mad at my Dr for talking me into trying remicade for months, in fact i am still mad, lol.

Wouldn't it be a benefit if we had a doctor that actually had Crohn's?

you know it would, it would make them understand better. Or an ET nurse who has a stoma, or an OBGYN who isnt' a man, what do they know about having a baby, lol

I know what you mean. I actually had to go through a session of  pre-marital advice by a priest and a nun before I got married!

i think about that all the time how great it would be to have a gastro doc who actually had crohns. sometimes it makes me almost inspired to become one just because i feel like i already know so much about it and can relate, but then i think i would never be able to make it through all those appointments and procedures when i'd be running to the bathroom every 1/2 hour!

Angela, that's great that you went rock climbing!! I'm glad you're thankful for your good health.

Crohnspatient, you would be an understanding GI. Just think, if you had an ostomy, you could do 12 hour shifts without EVER having to go to the bathroom (except to pee, of course!) :-)
