Well this is finally an area where I may qualify to give advise. I have taght aerobics for over 20 years and been a personal trainer...that si until April of this year when I started having MS symptoms. I tire easy now, so I have to watch my pace.
I think alot of it has to do with the TYPE of calories you consume. I had cancer 3 years ago and it was recommeded to me to go on the BLOOD TYPE DIETby the head of hematology who recommeded it. I give it high regards. I do not have have a weight problem, never have. Before my cancer, I was extremly active with aerobics and weight lifting ( I am 50 years old-2 kids). Now, I do not lift at all, I just eat like the above diet mentioned and do my daily chores. We have horses, so that amounts to about an hour or so a day of stall cleaning, haha.
I also frequently walk ( fast pace off and on) 3 to 4 times a week and take my pups with me.
Diets are diets. They all claim to be the best, but in the long run ( from a trainers point of view) they do not last. Once you go off of them, you regain the weight and add some. The best advise I have is the above mentioned ( blood type) and stick with it. It is not meant to be a 6 or 8 week plan...it is a lifetime plan. Thats where I feel people get mixed up. You cannot expect to lose weight on ANY diet for a specific amount of time and return to how you ate before. The Blood type diet, is a way of life...everyday...forever. Hope this is helpful. Blessings~Katie
