My first question is: Is the rawness around the stoma or the wafer that goes over it(where it would be outside the wafer area)?
Second question: If it the stoma, is the wafer the correct size for the stoma? When stomas are new, they will shrink...do you have a --for lack of a better word-- "a measurer"? The light cardboard thing with measured holes in it...The wafer shouldn't be more than 1/8" bigger than the stoma.
Third question: Does your husband use paste or a round seal for adhesive? An Eakin Seal works wonders for me and will protect the skin even if I don't get the wafer on where it is completely even around the stoma. I am very active and it also helps my wafer stay put no matter what the weather or what I do.
I hope this helps!
P.S. I also put a little Stoma Power around my stoma if I have a little spot of sensitive/raw skin before I put on the wafer to protect it...
