weird feeling

for the past day or so i have had this weird feeling around my stoma, it doesn't hurt or anything, it just feels like it needs to be pushed on or something.  Does that make sense? and it's very sensitive. i did not explain that very well, and i don't know any other way to say it.  anybody ever have that? and if you did how did you make it stop it's driving me crazy!

Summer,
Could there be something "stuck" behind it trying to push it's way out? When are you due for an appliance change? The reason I ask - sometimes, by removing the flange, it will allow the stoma to expand more to "push" out whatever might be laying behind it.

Also, could it be an adhesion? Sometimes mine will feel like a pulling sensation.

no i dont' think it's either of those peggy, i have had it do that before. I just changed it on sunday night, when i always change it. I am thinking maybe i hit it on something.

My stoma hurt about a month ago and I called Peggy, who "pegged" it for me, which was the beginning signs of a partial blockage. Hopefully, that's not the case for you.

Maybe you just bumped it during the latest round of pudding wrestling!! idea

Summer, here is a thought. I've done this before and don't realize it when I do it. If you are leaning up against something, say a low table or desk, and it hits ya across that area, you could be feeling that. Or if you go to get out of your car w/o unhooking your seatbelt (don't laugh! I have done that too!) Think along those lines and maybe you will come up with something. Have you lifted anything heavy lately?

My stoma changed in size (I think shape really) recently...and my flange was making me feel something was wrong...when I checked it out I found I had to reposition my flange to help it feel better. I think that worked, the size is right on the edge of needing a larger flange, so I will have to wait and see if this was a fix.

I would suggest Peggy's original suggestion, tho, if you can change the applicance, go for it, at least that would be one unknown out of the way...I hope yours is nothing serious!

i am thinking either the size changed, or possibly i did something to it at the gym, like i said, it doesnt' hurt
this is a weird way to explain it, but woemn will understand, you know how, if you have a baby, after you have the baby your breasts feel like really really sensitive, like if anything brushes across them you can feel it? that's sort of how it feels.

i am thinkig now that maybe it was a little bit of blockage or something, as it started to go away, i was having more output, and then it quit all together yesterday and i had all kinds of stuff coming out today, lol.

Summer,
Is this your first experience with any type of blockage? If so, good for you.

I bet that changing your appliance may have helped. Next time, take a really warm shower or bath to try to relax those abdominal muscles and massage it. Sometimes that help it to pass a little more quickly. And, of course, you know about fluids, caffeine sometimes helps me too.

i didn't change it until after the weird feeling stopped so that probably wasn't it peggy, lol. But next time i am gonna do that right away.

I had one other time where i didn't have any output for a few hours and i had a horrible belly ache, and i remembered stuff people said on here, so i chugged water like a crazy person, and laid on my left side and then walked around, and chugged some more water, and that seemed to cure me,lol.
