Air Bubbles in bag?!

Ok...so im wearing these coloplast bags which are pretty ok, but for the last month or so im finding that i have air bubbles in my bag. not like in the inside, but in the lining somehow. the best way i can describe it is like when u buy something electronic new and its wrapped in that bubble paper that kids (and i) love to pop. 

Does n e body else experience this? where does it come from? im afraid one of them will pop and cause a leak or order...its totally weird...

yeah that is really weird, i am not sure i even understand. I do know that if i had those on my bag i would be wanting to pop them, lol.
Take a bag, (that isn't used) and has them in it, and try popping them with a needle or something,and see how easy it is to pop them, and see what happenes if they do.

Funny you should mention this.  Just yesterday I was feeling the tail of my pouch (hollister two-peice) and found for the second time that the pouch had a small air bubble in the lining.  I know for a fact that it did not have this when I put it on new (9 days ago) so it must have something to do with use.  I was guessing two possibilities;

1.  the lining becomes seperated when folding and unfolding the tail causing a bubble between the layers of plastic or

2. since I use peroxide to control smell it might have something to do with that many days of a capful of peroxide affecting the plastic.

I piched the bubble between my fingers a little too hard and it popped just like the plastic wrap bubbles.  This concerned me but it didn't develop any leak so I guess since it is between the layers it didn't create a path to the outside world thank goodness.  And for anyone wondering, yes 9 to 10 days is my normal wear between changes, just lucky I guess, LOL.

I use all Coloplast bags, and even after reading all the posts, I still have no idea what everyone is describing (I mean, I can picture it, but never have seen it in any of the bags I have used...)

Hope you found some products/a product line that works well for you..! I know you had been experimenting :)

summer i do want to pop them! lol its like a compusive disorder, but i dont for fear of leak, but like john said, its not there when i put the bag on

and john i too use the peroxide, are u saying that when u pop them that nothing has happened? no leaks or odors? the bubbles are usually at the end oof my bag, or up closer to the top, but on the edges...its totally freaking me out lol

errin after my horrible experience with hollister, iv given up experimenting im sticking with the extended wear coloplast until christmas break when i wont be working...thanks for checking

Yeah the one I accidentally popped yesterday didn't develop a leak at all or even odor.  Since you say you are getting them toward the top also then I guess maybe my peroxide theory might be more on the mark.  All I can guess is the peroxide is causing some reaction between the layers of plastic and traps air in there.  With hollisters it takes till about day 7 or so for me to notice them forming.  Not sure but that is my best guess about what is going on.

I think your idea is right on.... It just sounds like it's a peroxide issue. Try using another product... maybe mouthwash and see if it bubbles up.

Funny you should say that, i've found air bubbles in my bag too, and i don't use anything in the bag, i just pop mine.

it makes sense...im very liberal with my peroxide lol...which might explain why some of my bubbles are pretty big...

praying i forgot to mention-

I have a whole box of 50 brand new stoma caps (VERY small volume they can hold) that I was sent, and I thought I would want to maybe use them at times, but I have been really happy with the mini bag I use instead and have not used any of them...

Anyway, I was just going to throw out this new box, but I feel guilty doing that when so many people have to pay a lot for supplies and mine are all free....would you want them? I could mail them to you...if that is too weird for you (you don't want to give out your address) I completely understand. :) Just thought I would offer...!

If you are interested, you could email me your address and I don't mind mailing them to you...!

okay guys, I get them, too!!!  I don't use anything to rinse out, but occassionally water, so I have pegged it to when I eat acidic foods...It isn't something that happens alot, but when it does, they are either around the edges or top of the pouch.  I haven't found that they do anything if popped, by accident of course, so I don't worry about them:)

I've never had these before, but it's good to know they're nothing to be concerned about. :-)
