I think it is definitely strange!!! I couldn't figure out if it was for real when I first saw it on t.v.!!!

if you read the rules, its says right at the first, "this is a real contest!"

until i read it, i thought you were supposed to send in pics of your scope and the best one won!

That is funny and bizarre! Who would want to win a free colonoscopy?? Katie Couric probably came up with this idea, now that she's at CBS, and since she makes millions, they all thought it was brilliant!!

Cecilia, I am sure you are right that Katie Couric had something to do with it, since her husband died from colon cancer at an early age. :( It is probably just to help publicize colon cancer screening....in a funny way!

I have been trying to get my dad (who is at the age where he should get a colonoscopy just to see if all is okay) to get one just for screening purposes, but he keeps saying "next year"....maybe I should enter his name for him! He may agree if there is a free trip to NYC!

I looked at it a little more and its like 3 days, which is really crappy (pun intended!) because you would spend the first day on prep, and the second day drugged up from the scope, so you would get like one day!
