I see my surgeon tomorrow and my GI in 2 weeks. Any feedback would be great

i'm so sorry, Amanda, to hear things are not going well. did they spcificaly say you had small bowel inertia? cuase from how i understand it, it's sounds like there's a prob with the anastamosis only.. but maybe i didnt quite understand.

i think you should wait till you see your surgeon tomorrow and see what he has to say, don't jump into conclusions so fast on your own, maybe it's not as bad as you think. i truly hope it works out for you soon. please keep us posted on how things go for you.

Hi Hodaya... i had been diagnosed with Chronic Intestinal Psuedo Obstruction in 2007... Doctor said i had motility disorders in my lower part of my small intestine and my large intestine. So we will see. I am still trying to get familiar with these medical terms, i just know the basics, what is an anastamosis??

anastomosis (didn't spell it right the first time, sorry) is the site of the connection of the smalls to the rectum.

i really hope you have positive answers tomorrow. iknow that ppl with stomach or small bowel motility probs are given reglan. lets wait and see what your surgeon sais and hope it's something that can be fixed easily.

Just wondering how you're doing.  I had my surgery March 18 and I was going all the time, over 20x a day for awhile, then slowed down to 6-8 times, now I'm hardly going at all.  I've been on antibiotics, hoping that's the problem, but it is so scary.  Let me know what you find out please!
