yeast infection

I've never had one and I wondered what it looked and felt like. Also, is it right next to the stoma or can it be over a ways? I have an inflamed area and it is not from stool. It could be from the wafer...but I don't think that is it.

I am just getting over a yeast infection from chronic leaking.......suckd and itches so bad I ripped my bag off in car. It was not whie, but red, bumpy, and itchy. They put an antifungal poweder on it and it did noy help so I asked my pcp for 3 days of difucan and it cleared up.....horrible.

When I had one, it looked like red bumps, and was not close to the stoma. It was near the outer edge of my wafer, and mine did itch badly at times, but other times would not bother me.

This nice thing for me was my doc gave me difflucan (the little pink pill) and that made it go away, so I didn't have to deal with putting creams on it (I thought they might mess with my wafer sticking).

If it doesn't clear up, ask your GP for some difflucan (or fluconaze is the generic).
