Hi Everyone!!!
Jen-So grateful you are out of the hospital and are feeling better. Have been praying and praying for you. Pleaase rest and take it easy. Try to eat foods high in protein, and if possible, drink coconut water instead of gatorade for the electrolytes; gratorade is full of sugar. You might also want to get some Whey Protien Powder and mix it with milk, I then freeze it for awhile to make it like a slushie or a shake and I used to drink 2-3 a day. This really helps with weight and helps build up your system (I mixed vanilla & chocolate together). If you have a Wegman's by you, they have their own brand of yogurt called Superyogurt that is full of pre & probiotics, it's also very good for your system, I continue to eat that twice a day. I am seeing my kinesiologist tomorrow and I'll ask what other foods are good for you to help build up your system and help gain weight and let you know. Hugs and love to you:)
Lizzie-Keep the faith girlfriend! I know things get tough and sometimes we just want to give up but we can't! We are the only one's that can fight this all the way and beat it!!!!!! We ARE going to WIN this battle and we WILL get better and STAY better. Work and the small things are just bumps in the road for us. If something happens with your job, then you will move on. For all we have been through, we can get past anything; including all the crap they try to give us at work and everywhere else!!!!!! We have each other and ALL of the people on here that stick by us and love us. Hang in there and fight the fight!!!!! Love you ALWAYS:)
Marisa-Praying that everything is okay with you. I had a colonoscopy when I had the c-diff in May but my GI wasn't able to sedate me because it was an emergency. All was fine until he was about 3 feet in then it was quite uncomfortable but that was mainly from the c-diff pain. Yours shouldn't be a problem though; I wish you the best and will be thinking of you and saying a prayer for you:)
Hodaya-Really miss our chats. I wish you were feeling better. You're always in my thoughts and prayers, Love you:) Hugs Too!!!
Jenise-You don't have too much longer until you're on the other side; try not to focus on what can go wrong even though it is hard too do. Think of all the positive things from this surgery and remember that there are some very successful cases with NO COMPLICATIONS. I know it's hard to believe it when you read about so many things that have happened to people on here but many people have come and goneon this sight, that's one of the reasons why I try to stay on here to let people know about my surgery's success and because I love all of you girls! :):) But I do want you to try to focus on my surgery and when you come home, FOLLOW the drs orders!!!!!! and yes I will continue to preach them over and over again..sorry but I can't stress enough how important it is to not do ANYTHING after your surgery and to follow the diet. Okay, enough lecturing, try to have a date night with your husband before you go in because the two of you really need some alone time. Hugs and love:)
Janie-Hope you are doing better with the miralax; and if you do need it I'll mail it as a gift. It's one way I can pay it forward for all of the encouragement all of you have given to me. Love you:)
And yes, I was one of the crazy Black Friday shoppers. My daughter & I got up at 3:15 and went shopping until 8:00; and yes we are nuts:):) because there really wasn't too much we wanted, but it was a fun mother/daughter thing. I had a good Thanksgiving with both families, mine & my husband's. Things didn't go well at all on Wed. when I met with the Social Security Dept. about the overpmt. and the woman was very arrogant and said to me "Did you think you wouldn't get caught?" I was so upset that I asked her why she was smirking and that I'm an honest person who pays any depts that I owe. She continued to smirk and said well we have sent you letters and you ignored them. I told her that I never received them and she said they weren't returned so I had no grounds for an appeal because I knew I wasn't suppose to get the money 18 yrs ago. I was so upset that I ended up leaving as she said they were going to garnish my wages and that's the paperwork I got in the mail today. BUT, I found paperwork in my safe stating that I didn't have to payback that exact amount they want me to pay that was given to me in error dated March 2002. So I called the main SS office today and they want me to fax that letter to them, so hopefully this might be worked out and then I'm writing a letter to that woman's supervisor (who was so arrogant). Because Like Lizzie, when I came out of there, I was so ready to give up and so upset that when I called my husband he said the only other time he heard me cry like that was when my father had died suddenly. I just told him I couldn't take it anymore, between the pain and the school situation and now this, it was too much to bare. But like the rock he is he talked me through it and told me to keep the faith as we all need to do. Things WILL work out with us! We are in this TOGETHER; we have EACH OTHER to lean on, talk with, cry with, and continue to encourage each and every day! Without each one of you some of us wouldn't have made it through some of our darkest days; God has put us together for a reason beyond what even we can comphrehend and I am so THANKFUL for each and every one of YOU! :)
Love, Peace and Prayers,
Judy
