Reversal of ileostomy -HELP ME....

I have planned to perform the reversal of ileostomy in this coming friday....from the posts I read, it really terrified me..that everything could not be normal in a short time...really??

i had my reversal on 11/23/09 and i am still trying to get my body in a routine. i honestly didn't know it would be this difficult, but i am going to keep it up as i was told it does take at least 4 months to get some kind of normalcy.

Thanks for your reply....I got no idea for this comming surgery, just face it with brave..hahaha....I hope that everything will run well... and also hope that you will be well soon...

Good luck. There are all kinds of results to any surgery. confidence in your doc and feeling that they are really with you and your concerns I think are the keys. Rosemary

I had my reversal surgery on 4/13/09 and didn't have that many problems. I have fully recovered from that, and actually found the hernia surgery in december, harder to recover from, than the reversal surgery. I spent less time in the hospital, with the hernia surgery.

Thanks to Rosemary & Dilantante,thank you for encouraging me...hope that everything will be okay...this coming surgery is only temporary ileostomy and I had already stayed with colostomy for 6 years....
