2 days of watery...you know...WHY?

So, for the most part I have had an amazing experience with Penelope and have adjusted to meeting her needs fairly well.  BUT...since the middle of the day on Sunday I have had nothing but watery output...I've not had to rince with my water bottle at all b/c it's that watery!  It also is spooky to me b/c I'm having to empty every few hours...my accessory is super full and heavy!

I do not feel pain from a blockage...and have no cramping...there is some air that's being passed through, but other than that my body seems to be draining me of fluids.  I even woke up this morning with leg cramps!  OUCH!

I do feel slightly nauseated, enough not to eat. 

Is this a flu?  I haven't experienced this at all since the surgery...the only times I've had the extremely watery output was when I intentionally drink well over 100oz of water to make it watery on purpose (easier to empty when out shopping and what-not ).

Anyway, what do you all know of this kind of ileo behavior?  I'm stumped!!!!

yeah leg cramps mean low potassium, which can come from being dehyrdrated. Add in some bananas and that will cure the potassium problem.
As for the watery stuff, if you arent having any pain, i would go with something having upset your stomach. Try the thickening foods and if it being so watery is bothering you, (i dont likeit being that watery) put in some gel tabs.

How are you doing today? Has it slowed down??

I've had similar symptoms no pain but HIGH output and it turned out to be a partial obstruction...not big enough to be painful. I drink either a soda (something I would never drink on a regular day) or a strong coffee if I suspect it just in case:) If it goes for too long though call your doc!

I took Immodium yesterday before class and it started making a drastic difference just by slowing things down *sigh of relief*  

 

Everything is back to normal this morning!

Awww...thanks so much!  My fried brain recovered well from yesterday     Which was good b/c I spent today calling and begging (manipulating *shhh*) services to get my client a psych eval as soon as possible...and we did.     Aw, personality disorders...they really are the most fascinating aspect of my profession, but also the most frustrating when working with the individual and the family.

I think everybody here on this ostomy board are some of the most amazing people.  You have all individually suffered such unique situations, and by joining and reading/communicating you are showing awareness and working on accepting your life experiences...and I think that's extrodinary.  (again, I really wish we had a heart icon...who do we need to contact about getting some different emotions over there?...I really was hard on the smurf's existence when I first joined b/c that really is weird...lets be honest, if we played 'which of these items do not belong?' the smurf would get it!...but I've become quite fond of the little blue guy!  I've moved on to the skull...it's a little gruesome.)
