I guess I am lucky--I eat everything, and I don't chew well because I am usually in a hurry.
I have had no problems with corn, peas, broccoli, carrots, grapes, peanuts, popcorn, pineapple, raisins, you name it!
The only thing that kind of grosses me out about
corn is that it comes out pretty much looking the same as it did going in (yuck, I know! probably because I don't chew well!) and is really obvious because our output is liquid...and sometimes the kernels float and won't go down when the toilet flushes. (I love this place because who else would I ever be able to tell that to?!?
) I call them corn floaties. :P
The ONLY food that ever gave me some discomfort (but not a blockage) was when I ate potatoes that we cut up but still had the skins on the outside. The skins are what did it, and to be fair, my surgeon advised that I only need to avoid 2 foods completely: mushrooms and potato skins. Everything else in moderation is okay to try.
He said that the only time he has seen blockages is when someone has eaten a ton of a vegetable or fruit in one sitting (he said one guy ate almost a whole bag of raw spinach, and the little stalks gave him a blockage...but who eats a whole bag of spinach at once, you know? :)
Just try a little bit of something, and see how it goes. :) I mainly wanted to try to eat healthy, so that's why I tried all the fruits and veges.
