Thanks everyone for your responses. OHIO .. sometimes I get the cold sweats, but they go away and reappear at random intervals. When I am passing stool into the bag there is a lot of gurgling going on as well. My stoma output went from a decent consistency to pretty much all liquid now (green). This is just a real pain, and I hate complaining as well. Sesberry ... what was your husband's stoma output like? Did he have pain in the stoma region as well?
Hmm... it never went green. It can be quite watery in the mornings but luckily his has been quite good. He had pain on the left side mainly (stoma's on the right) - probably where the end of the colon was stitched together. He does walk around a bit hunched over - I think that's normal and will improve as the wound heals and the scar gets more flexible. (Lots of massaging it apparently help keep it supple and also make the scar go - using scar-fading oils or cocoa butter)
He only had irritation from the stitches in the stoma area, no pain... but lots of gurlging. That's dying down though.
I'm glad you had a good day today, I think it's important to get back to normal as soon as possible. The oncologist wants my husband back at work as soon as the chemo cycles start because it's the normality that helps your body stop stressing and get back to normal.
