Getting wet - Sweat or swim

I nearly never post on here... busy life, but I've got to figure out how to solve a problem and you all are the ONLY ones that can help!  I've had my ostomy for over 9 years and at the beginning, I experimented with types but have found one and stuck with it for about 8 years.  Its a 2 peice Hollister with a cut to fit flange.  The tape is a type of paper tape.  It works Awesome and I can usually keep it on for about 6 days before changing it.  Though, I've figured out that I can't get it wet for approximately 24-36 hours after I put it on or the tape comes right off.  I am pretty clever about how I shower and can manage to get clean without getting it wet.  After the first two days, the tape is pretty good and stuck and I can take "normal" showers. 

The delima is - I changed my bag last night and was sitting around a pool today but because of the sweat, the tape was coming off ( it is abnormally warm for the NW {96 deg})  Also, I'm going to Hawaii in October for my 10 year anniversary and don't want to have to worry so much if I can go in the water or not etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to something I can put over the papertape or a different - though similar - ostomy type/brand that does better when its wet????

I've been using the waterproof pink tape that I found in Walmart. It's ok but it does start to come off if applied too soon before getting wet and it starts to peel.
I ordered some sure seals friday and I should get them tuesday.
I'm just wondering if the lady I talked to in the online customer service told me the right thing about the amount of supplies I would get. She told me that one box for bags and flanges is 20 or basically a months suppy but on Hollisters website it says that one box of bags is 10 and a box of flanges is 5 :x

Will the wafer stay put without the tape? A lot of people find the tape superfluous (and indeed, lots of wafers don't have any tape) so try it and see how long you can get once the tape comes off (make sure you're not going out anywhere just in case).

yeah i'm having the same problem with the humidity and the showers, it peels so easily lately, so everyone on here offered me SURE SEALS :) :) :) so i'm gonna get those soon YAY!

Thanks Everyone - guess I've been missing the boat having not tried Sure Seals to date. I guess I felt if its not broke don't fix it, but I am not taking advantage of newer, potentially better products out there. I just ordered my first set of Sure Seals. I'll post again once I get them and try them out!!!
