does any of you have trouble with your body being low on B12,, if so what is your story.. what did you have done to you . and what is the way you feel with the B12 being low.. did they do blood work to see if you were low in B12 or how did they know.. how do you feel when you get the B12 back in your system

b12 doesnt absorb as well into us anymore. So just go to the drugstore and get the sublingual ones, or the drops and take them and it should help a lot!

I have had trouble with low B12 in the past but haven't had any problems lately. They have a blood test that will let them know if the level is low. They, the docs, can give a B12 injection and you can take a B12 supplement to build it back up. I've had the injections and taken the supplement and I think it gave me a bit more energy.

I used to suffer from very low B12. It was diagnosed by clinical symptoms then confirm by a blood test. I learnt to self-administer B12 injections and now have optimum B12 blood levels. I used to need the injections on a daily basis, but nowadays it's only 2 or 3 times a week.

I use sublinguals for almost all my vitamins...as the others seem to pass in the same form they went in. So I know that this is the same as others but its true...good luck.

Have your B12 and MMA (Methylmalonic Acid level) checked. If the MMA is high and the B12 is low or low normal then you have pernicious anemia and need B12. I get it in shot form once per month from my doc. The symptoms of this are severe fatigue, difficulty concentrating/thinking, tingling in toes, hands. GOod LUck.
I think you can also just have low B12 without having the pernicious anemia.

If you have had surgery to or removal of part/all of your Terminal Ileum you will need the IM form...like it's been mentioned, a blood test confirms your level and your doc will determine the frequency of injections.
They aren't difficult to give yourself and save you the trip to the office:)
