a new job

hi all,

i need y'all's advice/opinions. i'm now at the proccess of finding a new job. i've just recieved a phone call from someone who got my resume through the net and we set an interveiw for tomorrow. my question is am i obligated to inform him about my condition of having an ostomy? just not sure what i'm supposed to do. what would you all do? thanks for your advice.

I just got a new job thanks to my ostomy. I didn't say anything about it. However, I have to have surgery on Thursday to remove some scar tissue, so my principal (I'm a teacher) asked why. She was genuinely concerned. I told her I had had previous surgeries due to Crohn's and she asked if I had "a bag" and I said yes. I'm not going to lie, plus I don't mind telling people, and she didn't care. If anything she feels bad for me, which is fine. Not going to lose my job over it.

I'm wishing you all the best with your interview tomorrow! You do not need to say anything about your ostomy (unless of course, you're interviewing to be a bikini model!)

LOL thanks everyone. i don't know why i thought of this, they don't need to know anything. but if at some point it is found out, then i'm not embarressed by it.

Congratulations on getting the job! That's good that he is a nice person. How is the job market over there? Here in the U.S., the unemployment rate is pretty high, so there is a lot of competition for each job. Let us know what you decide to do!

Collicat, lol that's exactly what i though too, i've never been in a situation in which they want me, but i don't really want them... it feels so weird, but sure is refreshing ;)

Cece, actually the market here is aweful too and it's usually very hard to find a job. this guy told me his business has been deteriorating significantly in the last 1-2 yrs, he seems desperate. i'm not sure i want it, cuz i need a place with more action, this place seems rather dead and depressing, i need to snap out of my OWN depression and i don't think this place will help me with that. so i don't know, will see.
