water intake

For those of you with a sub-total colectomy or ostomy (please say what you have) - how much water do you drink to compensate for the extra water that goes into producing your stools? Was it any different prior to your surgery?

I have a colostomy. I try to drink more, but probably end up drinking the same or less then I did before Oscar.
