Stealth Belt and my Dog...

I just got a new Stealth Belt in the mail 3 days ago and my dog has already chewed it up making it "almost" not usable. I dont even know how to feel. I got it for my trip so I could go swimming and now I dont trust it with a big chunk taken out of it. I leave in 6 days and it took me 3 weeks to get my last one. I am soo very sad.

aw im sorry! you can still go swimming though! maybe try the belt in the shower and see what happens

Swimming is not so much what I am worried about. It is that waves of the ocean. tearing my bag off with out it being supported. I will be going to Hawaii and I have always dreamed of swimming in the Ocean and now I am worried that the bag will fall off. If anyone with experience with surfing, swimming or body boarding in the ocean has any words of advice i would greatly appreciate it

I'm sorry your dog ate your belt. I have two German Shepherds and have lost half of my shoes to them! sad

I live in Florida and go to the beach and water park all the time. I wear a one-piece bathing suit, which keeps my pouch in place. Since you're a guy, I would think that a fitted beach shirt would work well to provide the kind of support you're looking for. Here's a link to show you an example of what I'm talking about:

Where in Hawaii are you going? My dad used to live on Maui, and it was beautiful!

I have surfboarded with my pouch. I was a bit nervous and put cling wrap over it but it did great, I dont know what I was so worried about. I do everything, I even go tubbing and I cant tell you how many times I land on my stomach. Remember in water, your body has less weight so to speak. You will be fine, I waterski on lakes, and have fell off and havent lost my pouch, your be fine.

I am going to Kihei on Maui. I leave on the 30th. I cant wait. I am still a little nervous about going body boarding with my bag, but will have a great time. I will let you all know how it goes.

I think you should go and have a great time!!!! I have never had a problem swimming/boogie boarding in the ocean:)

You can get swim trunks with the 'fake' underwear in them and that would help support your pouch. Is your stoma above your waist line? Is that the concern? A rash shirt would work, too, to keep things secure if you are really worried...but the waves shouldn't be a problem!

That's good, because the surf in Kihei is very mild (reminds me of the calm Gulf waters of west Florida), compared to the north shore where all of the surfing is. You are going to LOVE it!! Have a wonderful time!! :-)
