Just an update

Congrats on getting that over with and getting home! I had a home nurse come to help me change my wafer and go over everything the first time. I was too nervous to do it myself! Just a tip: don't eat something then decide to change your appliance or bag...I learned that the hard way! You sound great! I was out of it for weeks afer my surgery but maybe because my j pouch was created at the same time. I'm sure that makes it tougher to re-coop having done at once. You should be fine for the j pouch making on the next surgery. It seems like people have a much easier time with 3 steps. I kind of wish I had 3 step b/c I had some complications that I bet I wouldn't have had otherwise. Oh well, I'm just glad it's all behind me and soon you will be too! Good luck!

hi momof1, yes i remember you! wow, you got in for surgery quickly! Congrats on that! how did everything go?? I have 2 more steps to go but hope the worst is over. I am still at a hotel until the 30th. I can eat pretty well actually. my largest complication is my incision over my pubic bone has opened up wider than a quarter (so much for laproscopic) and they want me to let it heal inside out so I have to pack it with saline gauze and the hole frankly just freaks me out and makes me sick :( Im worried it wont stop spreading because it gets wider and wider each day I check it. ugh! why can't things just go smoothly?
