How long until jeans were comfortable?

Almost one month out from my TC w/reconnection (no bag).

My incisions are healing well, two of them are just about completely healed. My "c-section" scar is about 3 inches long and is almost healed but not quite. It is still very sensitive, as well as the rest of that general area. I feel some pressure there constantly which the surgeon said is normal during healing and for months after.

My question is, how long was it after your surgery until you felt comfortable wearing normal pants or jeans? I have tried on all of my jeans. I have lost some weight so everything fits or is baggy, but when I zip and button my pants they put more pressure on that area and it is uncomfortable. I'd love to be able to wear jeans but I just can't do it yet. Is this normal after a month? Or am I just being too sensitive/picky?

Hey Alibee.. think it'll take a while.. It's still early days and the scars will still be tender. You will get there eventually, but reckon it might take a few more weeks. I lived in sweat pants for weeks! everything is just still sore and your main priority is comfort. Although now I do wear skinny jeans (with a zip!)! Give it time hun.. you'll be back in those jeans soon!

I couldn't wear jeans until about 2 months after surgery. My stomach felt very swollen. I stuck to drawstring pants or sweat pant type styles up until that point and then I could begin to wear certain pairs of jeans that were a little bigger. Around 4 months post-op, once some incision complications healed, I could once again wear tighter fitting styles.

After my first op (open incision) it took me about 6 weeks to feel average wearing jeans. I used suspenders to take the pressure off using a belt. Took another month before I could comfortably wear a belt.

I'm now 2.5wks post my reconnection (another open incision) and even loose drawstring pants are sensitive.

It was probably about 6 weeks for me too, and then I wore ones that were way big! It was summer when I had surgery so it was shorts obviously, but they were very loose.

My incision was open, closed after 6 weeks. But because I lost over 30 lbs, jeans were loose and didn't cause any restriction. I wore alot of leggings too but I love my jeans. Hope the sensitivity and soreness heals quickly!!!

You aren't being too picky, it takes some time. With my first surgery, it took a long time because my incision was from about four inches below my bra line to a few inches above my pubic bone. I would feel ok in jeans, but when I sat it felt like the top of the waistband was pressing on my scar and it felt uncomfortable. I want to say it was two and a half months or so before I didn't think about it all.

I was lucky this time because the incision was from right under my belly button down. The top of my waist band is above that area and I am already able to wear jeans pretty comfortably at six weeks. At four weeks I started wearing them a little to go places, but as soon as I got home I was reaching for the flannel pj pants!

I'm two years out, and jeans still bother me. I find that skinny jeans or jeggings don't hurt as much (the waistband is the problem, I think). But traditional jeans cause discomfort and I almost always end up getting a loose bag and having to change because I develop a leak.
