the xray machines in entrance security and airports

I completely forgot to post this yesterday. I had a meeting at the foreign office, where security is very strict. Just like in an airport, I had to put my bag, coat and contents of my pockets into a tray to go through the xray machine. In my bag there is always the zippered case containing 2 extra sets of bag, eakin, plastic bags, little scissors, poweder, q-tips, panties and stockings. I realized the security guards would see the bags in the monitor but then I thought, well who cares, if they do that then they have the responsibility of respecting people's privacy. If they even know what they are seeing...

When i went through the airport security i totally forgot i had my medical scissors in my carry on. they saw it and pulled it out but let me pass with them without issue.

i assume maybe its because they were the snub nose type rather than the pointed tip scissors.
