Brian84, Windy City, and I met for lunch last week in Chicago -- it was excellent! I posted a pic of the three of us (Brian took it with his phone -- impressive).

It's a great photo, you three. You all look really healthy and attractive. You must have been having a great lunch!
Upsadaisy, I'm glad to see you and your kids too (I am wondering when I will ever be able to eat ice cream, since take-down two chocolate cookies will keep me on the loo all night).
Am tempted to post a picture of myself but I am soooooo internet shy!

Hi B'Dereh, you are lucky that you had the choice for a takedown, you are still healing but you will more than likely be able to eat ice cream in the summer, would love to see your pic. go on post it

Great photo! I would love to meet up with people, but, with three little kids, it is tough for me to ever get away for more than a couple of hours!

I live on the border of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I see you live in Ireland? My husband and I went there on our honeymoon! What a beautiful place! We want to go back - it is in our 10-year plan.

hi uc_free ,you live along way from me, but it nice to be able to chat to people even if it is only over the internet, Me and my husband had a ten year plan to go to NY but it didnt happen we went to killarney instead, so i hope yours goes to plan.

Kazygirl, the site I mentioned in the first post is just for that. Feel free to post your pic and look at ones others have posted.

I know I've said this before here, but I feel like as soon as I decided on surgery, my life started getting bigger. While I was sick, it just felt like my life got smaller and smaller. Such an unexpected bonus that the ostomy gives me a strong connection w/people I would not have met otherwise....

Blueglass- Thanks for posting that up! I have other pictures, but not sure if you guys wanted me to post them. That's the best I could do with my forward facing camera on my phone.

B'Dereh- We had a great time. I showed Blueglass some Chicago style pizza. Afterwords, the three of us went on a walk around "Riverwalk". It's all done up with sculptures and monuments.
If anyone else is in the Chicagoland area feel free to send me or Windy City a message. We are always up to meet new people.

Kazygirl- We had a thread going here a while back about posting our facebook names. I became friends with a few of them and its nice to stay in contact there as well.

Brian, you showed me Chicago style pizza???? I believe I was eating said pizza well before you were born..... :-)

It was great meeting with you and Windy City.
