Noiseless Bags?

Hi everyone

I am having a reoperative procedure on 29th May to have my loop stoma back again.  I am rather apprehensive especially as to where they will put it this time and that it will work as well as before. rolleyes

I remember my old bags always rustled which is not good if i was having a bit of a scratching session in public.!

Hopefully some of you might wear bags that are soundless ...could you tell me the name of bags you use?

i had a temporary, and although there are bags that they say are noisless, i never found them to ACTUALLY be noiseless, and im a male that can wear the baggy shirts......dont let thsi discourage you though, as i only had it for 6 months, and found a product that worked for me in other areas, and never bothered to try many more....

for example, i used a one sided bag, which my guess is probably louder than an opaque bag.

I think the coloplast sensura are pretty quiet. I wear a pouch cover too -- I wear it so the pouch isn't scratching, but it cuts down on any rustling too.

Karen, so sorry you have to go back to this but I understand. Remember as long as it works that is the main thing. I am fighting a stenotic stoma not good. Don't worry these don't happen with loop ileo's just end ileos such as I have. Best wishes. Rosemary

Thanks rosemary. I do hope this gets sorted it sounds horrible. What can be done for you and will you need a new stoma?

Yes, coloplast sensura are very quiet.  Also tuck your bag into clothing that is relatively tight. Don't leave it "hanging out". It can't rustle around if your clothes are tight over it.

Hi Karen.. have everything crossed for you and hope this is the answer to your problems. Can I just ask why they're doing a loop ileo and not an end though? Mine was redone as an end.

Anyway in answer to your question I'm a coloplast fan too (if there is such a thing LOL!).. I use the sensura convex in the smallest they do. Very nice ;-)

Sarah i think it is less complicated - I did ask what i will be having - and he suggested the loop again - i think less evasive?. x
