My stomach hurts

Sorry you're in so much pain. I had a different surgery, so no experience, but could it be gas? I know that can hurt a lot.

How is your output? Are things moving well or could there be some obstruction?

Have you talked to your surgeon or nurse?

Hope you get some relief soon.

Do you have a rectum? A 1-step J pouch surgery would be very rare!

My stomach continued hurting long after my incisions did after my colectomy. Maybe it has to do with the fact that our intestines were moved around so much, and it takes time for them to adjust to their new position.

Also remember that if you got laparoscopic surgery, there are deeper cuts inside of your belly that you cannot see from the little incisions I your skin.

Certain medications or foods could also be causing your stomach pain.
