Can not get Cavilon no-sting barrier anymore?

When I was ordering my supplies, Edgepark said the Cavilon No-sting barrier wipes I have been using are no longer available. I am so upset as these work great with my skin. I looked online and it it quite expensive. Anyone else have this issue?

I posted about this on another board and someone offered this info.

"Hi there... I waited four weeks for a "backorder" of Cavilon wipes (I also buy the spray, from 3M online) before I called Edgepark to ask what was going on. They do still carry Cavilon wipes, but they're now in a 50-pack instead of the 25s. What they neglected to do was inform us that while the product is still there, the size/quantity has changed. My order arrived yesterday without a hitch. The new product number for the wipes through Edgepark is 3342. Hope this helps!"

Hubby uses with great success the Smith and Nephew skin barrier prep spray that is in a 4 oz pump spray bottle FYI and we get it from Edgepark. For his emergency kit I took one of the dollar store antiseptic hand sprays that I keep in my purse...long and thin like a fat ball point pen.....has a cap...it unscrews....washed it out really well....put some of the prep spray in it. Probably 3-4 uses in that spray and very convenient as your fingers don't need to touch the wipes to apply.

That is a great idea, Another UC Wife.   Yet another reason for me to go to my favorite store, too !!!   We have a new one opening next Saturday and I am really excited about it.  I find so many useful items, things for my grandkids and snacks galore.

While there recently, I found a travel kit with a small spray bottle.  I had read that when needing an emergency change, it was helpful to have a small spray bottle in the emergency kit.  Just fill it up at the sink in the RR and you have a water supply in the stall.

I also use an empty and cleaned contac lens wetting solution bottle for my M9 drops to carry in the kit.

One day I am going to write up and share all the innovative things we ostomate and loved ones of ostomates come up with.   I still love your idea of the mousse cap to cover the stoma.  I also use it to shield my stoma from the heat from the hairdryer when I am applying my appliance.  Works like a charm, and a 3rd hand :)

Chronie...just opened a new can of mousse today and put the cap aside for hubby...lol.

At the dollar store (Dollar Tree) they also have in this same size container sunscreen....what is so great is the fact it unscrews too so when the sunscreen is low you can add more to it. I was just in Vegas and in my purse had one of the antibacterial ones and sunscreen ones...takes little room and good to have to use "in a pinch".

I also bought on ebay the one ounce and 1/2 ounce plastic eye dropper type containers. For travel I put regular stomahesive powder in one and in another the medicated powder. He doesn't need the powder but when we go away for at least a week or two I like to have it on hand and those little containers are perfect and I just tape a piece of paper identifying what is what and eliminates taking the full size items. I use these for my liquid Stevia that I always have on me to use for my unsweet ice tea and put them in a small ziplock craft baggie so it doesn't get sticky on anything in my purse. I also use them for face moistureizer, liquid makeup to cut down on the size containers I take when I travel since a little goes a long way....don't need the entire bottles or jars to take space in the luggage or cosmetic bag.

I use the Cavilon spray, it works good. My supplies come from Byram too, I live in CT.
