Hi, I have read several different posts in which people reccomend different yummie tummie products, spanx products, and other things such as this. I am not sure which one to get or which one works best and these are things I dont think you can try on. My main issue is that when my bag starts to fill up its all at the bottom area and getting fatter and fatter. also when I wear jeans the surgeon and wcon said to make sure the stoma is above the jeans which is fine but Sometimes it doesnt work as well and different people have suggest wearing a spanx tank (longer one) does anyone have more specific advice or more suggestions, even if you have told me before?

Why don't you try the cheap fixes first... I'd suggest just tucking the pouch into your underwear. If that doesn't help (or you've already tried it) try brand with more spandex in it (it's what I found works best for me and my lifestyle). Also, you could try a different style (some like how boy shorts hold thing better).

If those don't work then try going to Target...they have the cheaper version of Spanx and you can try them on!

You can also order underwear online with built in pockets...but they get a little pricey.

Thicker output makes things easier to conceal, too. If your output is very thin you may want to try something to thicken it. Summerstorm tapes the top of her pouch down so it doesn't 'poof' at the top over your jeans...have you tried that?

I get the shorty looking underwear and I can easily fold up the pouch and tuck it in without an issue. The only time it becomes semi-noticeable (and probably just to me) is when it is halfway full, but we're not supposed to let it fill up that much anyway. I wear tighter fitting t-shirts and any kind of pant I want. I am very petite, so I would imagine it would be noticeable if I didn't have a good system. Good luck!

You can also get these belly bands from maternity stores, they cost like 15 and work great.
Usually I'm just fine with my underwear. I wear hipsters or boy shorts and tuck the bottom up. And like equestrain mom said, I tape the top to my stomach, that way it doesn't move around as much!

i am also petite and like wearing close fitting clothes; i am still trying different bags ...what bag to you use ?

My main issue is that my stoma is a little too near the middle this time and i asked for it to be slightly higher up (which i regret now, being small).  i hate being restricted across my middle - bought a comfizz band and i felt like i was in a vice! (yep it was my size S/M ).

I use coloplast Sensura Extended Wear two piece system. I get the smaller of the two bag sizes. My stoma is an inch below and an inch over from my navel. I love its placement; makes it very easy for me to tuck the bags in. I asked for it to be below the navel becaus I thought it may be too tough to hide higher up.

i suppose it does depend where your navel is - mine is situated quite low on my waist compared with most people. The stoma is now about level with the navel; before it was sited level with the bottom of my navel. its just a a half inch difference so my new jeans would not sit in the stoma - which they did on my old stoma wound.

If you have the 100 dollars to spend i just recently recieved my stealth belt from stealthbelt.com and SO FAR it is pretty neat. I dont really have the money to spend but i do have a birthday coming up an i also need something to help me conceal the bag when tucking in shirts and it looks like it will work well. I havent gotten my right size in yet. Got one that was too small and wore it for about 15 min and it FELT cool and like it will be great but only time will tell when i get my new one in. Ill try to put a little review of it on here for everyone once i wear it a while. I see that your a lady so i didnt share the guy tricks like folding the bag up and tucking the clip into the top of your jeans. This i what i do every time i go out in public. Works great with normal t shirts that arent form fitting. But just wanted to throw out some ideas to check out and ill get that review on here asap of the stealth belt but there are also many cheaper belts that im sure work just as well! Ppl on here are very knowledgable and will get you on the right product! Im just a newbie ;). Good luck and God Bless!!!

coloplast sensura midi size bags.
target lycra "boy shorts" (spanx-like - but not nearly so tight)
and any "normal"' clothing I want to wear over that. Including jeans. I have never heard of not wearing jeans over a stoma. Seems ridiculous to me. Been wearing jeans over stomas for nearly 4 years now. In fact I wear tight dresses, tight yoga pants, tight running bottoms. No problems at all. I like the "tight" clothing over the stoma. Its the same clothes I wore before ostomy AND it keeps thing nicely held in.
I can't be bothered with wraps or belts. I am a slim petite woman and don't want any extra "contraptions" around me.

The only thing I ever used were the belly bands that you can find in the maternity section at Target for $15. After awhile though, I just wore my regular clothes and underwear and would sometimes tuck the end of the bag into the underwear of it was bothering me or scratching my leg, etc. The belly bands were nice for intimacy as it covered and kept things out of the way so I didn't worry or think about my appliance.

I went to Burlington Coat factory and I bought all different kinds of control type panties. I now HAVE to wear something with a control top because it just feels so much better to have some support.

I have a rather large parastoma hernia that I am trying to hide. It is about the size of a large grapefruit. It needs support and gets sore if it doesn't have some support.

I have 4 nu hope belts but they are not comfortable at all. They feel like they are squeezing me and I do not see that any of them help anyway.

I have found that I need something tighter than what I can wear over my bag so what I have done is I bought some tight boy type control top panties that come higher up on my belly and I sent them off to Nu Hope to have a ring sewed into them. They also sewed a velcro flap in the crotch so I can pee without taking them down. I resorted to doing this because they were just too tight to wear over my bag and they compromised the wafer.

I also mailed in a spanx one piece that is a bodysuit that you can wear your own bra and it already had a snap in the crotch.

I expect to receive them this week. I am hoping these are my answer because I'm getting tired of wasting my money on belts and wraps.

I will post and let you know if this helps at all.

I wear my bag at an angle so it points towards my groin area. That way I can wear full brief undies and have my bag tucked completely in my undies (and not spend $$$$ on special ostomy underwear). It's worked for me for many years.

My stoma is located a couple of inches below and to the right of my belly button. Hipster jeans are out but normal waist high jeans are fine and my stoma fits snugly underneath them. In my teens I wore the tightest jeans possible without a problem (just needed to empty a bit more than normal).

Now I wear normal black long pants for work every day without a problem. My only beef is that our workshirt uniform tops aren't as long as I'd like (I prefer tunic length tops mainly to cover my huge backside but also to cover the front of me) but my boss has said that if I can source a longer workshirt in corporate colours, they'll get it embroidered for me with our company logo. That's my mission at the moment (however all the uniform places I've looked at so far seem to think everyone is built the same way and thus workshirts are all the same length. It's not a 'must have' as the current shirt does cover everything but I still feel self conscious. My mission continues...

My surgery was an emergency so I had no say in where the stoma should be placesn its right on the waist band so no more jeans for me! I bought comfizz top, nice and tight around the bottom of the bag, I also place my pouch to the side and tuck the bottom into my underwear shorties are best. Main thing is to treat yourself some nice leggings and tops so you are not fixing yourself all day long, good luck

I've been wearing the underwear with the inner pocket since I had my surgery in spring 1995. I tried regular underwear, but when the pouch would start to fill up, it would always slip out the leg hole and the clip would be against my inner thigh and I just hated it so much. They are a bit pricey, but I never have to worry about anything slipping out and showing, and they are high enough to cover the whole appliance. And they are made of sturdy, stretchy fabric, so provide support without squashing anything - I had a bad experience with a panty girdle some years ago.

 Coloplast Sensura 1 pc convex are the best Its a little tricky learning how to put on 1 piece but they hide very well under clothing Bikini underwear,tuck pouch in and if buying jeans try to buy mid rise

just today i purchased a maternity belly belt..you google them if unsure what they are.  its fantastic, not too tight and comfortable too.

I wear boy cut bottoms and low rise jeans. My stoma is right at pant level. I always wear a tank top under my shirts to keep it close. I bought the Trendy Top (like a belly band) from Walmart for $12, it has 2 in a box. I got a small but they are still too big. I guess I need to fatten up. :) I use the mini pouch from Hollister. I barely have output so I've been wanting to try a stoma cap but just found one piece caps.

Walmart carries those "as seen on tv" bands that are for women to wear to cover the skin when they bend over and their shirt rides up (obviously I don't know what they are called) Anyway they were 2 for 10 bucks. I'm a guy, but they work well for me. They keep the bag close to my stomach, but expand as the pouch fills.. 5 dollars a piece was pretty cheap i thought

I wear the Target t-shirt tubes.  They are called trendy top ultimate layering accessory. They are comfy and cool and don't bind.  You can order them online through amazon.com
