Back Pain

Does anyone get lower back pain that they think is related to their ostomy?

Last week I think I had a blockage because I had a lot of pain under my stoma. I also had really bad pain in my lower back, on the same side as my stoma. Since then I have had back pain everyday since and sometimes it seems to be accompanied by discomfort under/behind my stoma, but not always. The pain is really low, kind of radiating down into my butt cheek.

Output in bag seems to be OK. I've been sick the past few days so I haven't been eating a lot but it seems to be passing into the bag.

I'm not sure what's causing the pain. I also had my period, which usually brings bad cramps and some discomfort in my back, but this was worse than anything I've ever had before. It also seemed weird that the pain was only on the same side as the stoma.

It eventually goes away if I take an advil and lie on the heating pad for awhile, but I don't know what's causing it.

Any thoughts?

Still not sure what it is. Not period cramps because that's over. Last night I was in excruciating pain. Felt like a blockage at first. Bad pain under the stoma. Eventually the pain migrated to my back. Output wasn't really normal - none for awhile and then lots of output that was very watery.

I've not been feeling well this week, but I think it's because of a new medication I started (side effects). I've also had wicked heartburn, which I've never really had before.

Been a bit of a rough week....
