yes rosemary is correct. If you go into a surgery by choice, not emergency, you can most likely have your colon removed laproscopically... as most surgeons do it that way nowadays. Then you really don't end up with adhesion problems. But if you have multiple
open abdominal surgeries.. you can become an adhesion mess.
and like she said "the having a good working stoma is actually quite easy to get used to"
and rosemary.. you probably are already doing this... but if you are not... get up and go for a nice long walk every single time after you eat. move around and be active after you eat. It really helped me a lot in my early weeks after each ileo surgery.
