The
opening of the stoma is even with the skin.
My stoma is a Loop stoma and I'm not sure if they didn't keep the rubber tubing they were using as a bridge in there long enough or what when it was healing. But the
opening healed to the skin. I'm not sure how to explain it.
But when I cut the wafer tight to the stoma, the poop just goes under the wafer.
I've tried several things but I got surprisingly lucky with a moldable convex wafer bag. I hope the rest of the work like the first one did. As it started trying to turtleneck around the stoma, it actually (I guess cause it was convex) created a funnel to push the poo out into the bag instead of under the wafer!
If I can stay lucky until 2-19 when I have takedown scheduled, live will be good. :)
