Imodium and Changing Bag

I find that every time I have to change my bag or the wafer, I have to take an imodium to stop going to the bathroom. I use to just get up in the morning, take a shower, change everything and that's that - no imodium but lately, even in the morning, I keep going to the bathroom as soon as I stand up. Any ideas what to do? I would love to stop taking pills and just change it normally.

I know it can be very frustrating at times but I will give you my technique and hopefully it will help. Generally I don't eat a huge meal the night before or eat really late. When I wake up on bag change day I will usually walk around and get a few things done around the house. Maybe a half hour or so. That way my bowels wake up and whatever is at the end of my intestines work its way out. I then eat 3 marshmallows and start setting up all of my supplies on the bathroom counter. Next I remove the old bag and get in the shower. The marshmallows usually give me a good 15-20 minutes of no output. This usually works for me about 90% of the time.

I have heard about the marshmallow trick but never tried it. I guess I'll have to buy a bag and try it out.
