I can clear a pontoon

Yesterday was a nice warm day so my wife and I took a cruise on our pontoon. A short time into our cruise and I needed to burp my pouch. So I did. My wife said loudly.......OH G**, DON'T DO THAT WHEN I AM DOWNWIND!! WAIT UNTIL I AM UPWIND!!. I can now clear a boat with one burp!

Polishdan! Your post gives me hope for a happier life. I'm scheduled for surgery on Monday. These kind of posts are important because they add humor to our 'crappy' situations. Thank you.

My husband and I have a ski boat/bow rider, and I had to chuckle at this topic. So funny. While I don't have an ostomy anymore, I can clear a room too (my guts are a mess!). If you're clearing a pontoon - yowsha, lol. I have to ask, do you have one of those pop bathrooms on your pontoon? Or do you use marina restrooms?

'crappy situation" .....sounds like you have a good attitude about our situations. Gotta laugh at our situation or it will make you cry.

My wife always feels bad for the cars behind us when I have to burp at 75 mph on the xway. She says their eyes must water........

I use the toilet downstairs in our house. I have a long hose from our pontoon to the toilet in the house........that's a lie. I just drive the boat to our house. We live on a lake in northern Michigan. I have an ileostomy so there is no rush to the toilet. Before my colectomy, with UC, sometimes there was a rush. All our friends understood. We have a "no high speed, no wake" law on our lake from 7:30 PM to 11:00 AM. That could get dicey!

Joking around like a true boater, lol - well we tied up to a friend's pontoon for the Labor Day weekend Cincinnati fireworks once and heard there was a bathroom aboard it (but I wouldn't use it with people all around me!). Anyway, I was curious, just where was this thing, in the faux lower deck? Pretty cool how they do offer these marine toilets for those that really need them. But again, you have no privacy, sort of.

But I did smile at your close call descriptions before your ostomy. Been there, still there! I skip meals so I can go on our boat. Sure there are marina's, but it takes time idling in their no wake area and then tying up, by then I'm about to have an accident. It's just best to not eat before we go out on it.
