I always slept naked pre surgery. Now I sleep in oversized men's boxer shorts but really, really don't like the feeling of clothing on my body in bed.
If I get up early to go to the bathroom, I get back into bed naked, but I'm afraid to attempt a full night with my bag totally exposed. I'm worried that I'll dislodge it or pull it off somehow. Ugh.
Do any of you sleep totally naked, or have any of you attempted it with messy results?
Thanks!

I've been sleeping naked for the last few months... and I'm a tummy sleeper!
I LOVE sleeping naked.
No issues for me thus far. I wear a two piece convatec for ileostomy and sleepy naked, on my tummy, with a flailing husband, 4 cats, and random stuffed animals tucked in next to my tummy and butt... havent made a mess yet :D

I don't sleep fully naked but in a huge tshirt/nightshirt and normal underwear that would sit under my bag. The tshirt I wear never stays down fully, and wouldn't do anything to hold my bag in place anyway.
I'm only 3 weeks post-op but have never had issues. I was a stomach sleeper but haven't risked that yet, as my bag still fills with a lot of gas from surgery during the night. I do sleep on my right side though with no problems from my bag, even if it does balloon! I would move around quite a lot in bed also.

Won't happen. I sleep as close to naked as it gets most of the time. I wear knickers because I feel a bit weird without them if I don't, but they don't go over the bag. Never had an accident while sleeping.

Thanks all....tonight will be the night! Happy New Year! Lol
NCOT, you just gave me a giggle. Knickers to me are trousers that come down to and fit tightly around your knee. That's what I pictured at first but then realized what you mean.

Hope it went well and you slept with visions of sugarplums dancing in your head, rather than worries of leaks. ;-)
If you're still looking for options, Did you get any "panties" from the hospital? They are really lightweight, barely there, stretchy net things. Ask your nurse for a few pair, if you can. I use them over thong panties during the day cause they just super gently keep the bag from flopping around, but with zero pressure on my tummy or stoma like spanx or even large undies can give. At night I have used them solo. It's probably not much different than your boxer experience, but it will hold the bag closer to your body and with no waistband, you really don't feel them at all.

CarenZ I assume you're from the USA? I won't say what Fanny means here in the UK, but it made me chuckle the first time I went to the States, to find that a Bum Bag was called a Fanny Pack!!!!!
