Hi all - I'm have two more weeks until my takedown. Looking forward to getting rid of this bag.
I have my pouchoscopy tomorrow. No prep really except clear liquids and then nothing after midnight.
For those who have done this, with a loop Ileostomy, when did you stop eating solids the day before? I'm starving and the liquids aren't helping.

I'm having my pouchoscopy tomorrow as well! I'm eating a Subway sandwich as I type this. My prep is nothing to eat or drink after midnight tonight (and that's due to the anesthesia...my surgeon does that although I see many here who don't have it & I'd pass if I could). Don't need to do clear liquids...everything I eat goes out thru the loop, not the pouch. I'm more worried about becoming dehydrated going 12+ hours with nothing to drink! My takedown is a week from Friday...I'm with you...looking forward to losing the bag as I've had lots of skin issues. I also have a pouchogram (barium enema) on Friday. Busy week! Good luck.

Woo hoo - I had the enema two weeks ago. Not bad just uncomfortable. I have preop next week then I'm in! Kinda crazy. Very anxious about how everything will be afterwards especially in the hospital when things start and then of course after when home getting my diet back on track and training my body. Scary but exciting

I'm in Florida (about 20 minutes SE of Ocala). My surgeon is at Shands Univ of FL in Gainesville (about an hour away but worth the trip!). Where are you? I'm a little nervous about afterwards as well, but looking forward to getting on with things. This "in-between" time has been trying!
