Hello everyone,
I have had my ileostomy for a year and a month now, and everything has been going fine until about the last week and a half. I have noticed that my stoma (the bottom part of the ileostomy stoma) seems to protrude a bit now, and is often hard to the touch, unless lay down on my back, and then it gets less hard. It can also "go back in" if I push it back in with my finger (weird, I know.. but it works sometimes). Has this happened to anyone else? This happened after I, (I know, I know) tried a bit of popcorn after a year of being able to eat anything with the ileostomy.. and I figured I could just try it. I have an appointment with my surgeon in 4 days, but I am just curious if this has happened to anyone?
