So I had my reversal Thursday afternoon/evening, today is Saturday. I was on a clear liquid diet Thursday and Friday afternoon, a full liquid last night and a normal diet today.
Physically, I've felt great the entire time: no nausea or generally feeling of being run down or sick. I've felt pretty much normal and was walking around almost immediately after surgery. The bowel movements started last night after drinking a milkshake, eating ice cream and jello. I went once and it wasn't too much.
I ate breakfast and lunch and have only had 2-3 bowel movements so far. I get a little bloated and then can sit down and go a fair amount if I try but there doesn't seem to be any urgency or pain. I mostly hit the bathroom because I'm worried I should be going more
I'm concerned because everyone talks about
10+ times a day being the norm at first. I'm still in the hospital but it is the weekend so my surgeon isn't here and the on-call isn't around much after 5.
Tldr:I feel pretty great, but am concerned I'm not experiencing the need to go more. Has anyone else had a really easy time with the reversal or is something going on?
