I previously asked the community what they suggested I bring to the hospital for my first surgery (step 1 of 2). That really helped quite a bit so for my takedown surgery I'll pose the question again; What should I bring this time around? This is what I have thus far:
Flushable baby wipes
A&D cream
Squirt bottle
Robe for walking
Any other suggestions? Also, how long was your stay in the hospital?
Thanks,
Mike

I had my takedown surgery on a Friday afternoon and got to my room about
8pm Friday evening. Left hospital Monday around 3pm. Didn't get up much on Sat (just 2 quick walks) but Sun I actually felt well enough to put on sweats instead of the hospital gown for walking around. Sunday was great as I finally got to eat solids! I'd add slippers for walking (I didn't love those socks), your cell phone/iPad and chargers. Again...same as Step 1...bring comfortable clothes for ride home and a pillow for the seatbelt (the old stoma site will hurt!). Good luck!

I agree! All the things you brought for the first one, things to keep you occupied, and definitely some kind of cream for your bottom as it will most likely be quite irritated. Some people need to use it everyday, however I've been fine since the first week of my takedown. No butt burn since that first week. But the first couple days is pretty rough so make sure you have something! My hospital stay was about
2 days. I had my takedown on a Monday morning at like 7:00. I was one of the first surgeries. I left Wednesday a little after lunchtime probably around 2 or so. I agree with Vicki about
the seatbelt. I would maybe bring a little pillow or something to put between your stomach and the seatbelt because the stoma site is pretty sore and sensitive for a couple weeks. Wishing you the best of luck with your takedown! How far away is it?

I forgot my lip balm that time and my lips were so chapped so you should pack some. And don't forget your cell phone charger. Good luck!
