My stoma nurses told me about using a hair dryer on the bag, but only so that you don't then have a sopping wet bag afterwards, as they don't dry that easily with a towel, not to prevent leaks. I've never tried it though - I just go around with a wet bag for a bit. I immerse the bag when I have a bath, and have showers often twice a day and no leaks. But the one thing I have found is that if I put a new bag on and then immediately take a shower, the new bag just comes unstuck, like the water got in before it was sealed or something? So I never do that anymore! I also sometimes use Brava elastic tape, which provides an extra layer of protection.
