I"m new here and have a friend that is 20 yrs. post IRA I'm trying to support. I have a medical background, he is well read and very analytical, both of which allow for overthinking. He's having a real tough time, with Suicidal Ideations on an upswing. Depression, bouts of anxiety, and frequent bathroom visits during sleep are wearing him down. He doesn't feel too supported by Docs, he's been through the mill on Pain & Anti-Depression/Anxiety meds, and has varied and altered his diet.
I know I can only listen, but being a past caregiver and a supporter of QoL (Quality of Life) I have to stay out of Fix him mode. I know it may be a lot of info to embrace with a first post but I had to start somewhere. Any ideas on how to get him in a better direction, or info that could encourage him on other possible options and variations he may not have tried.
Thanks for whatever feedback is offered,
Bless U all.
