Hi everyone,
I'm working real hard at eating. Almost eating anything. With the pouch (not that I like it) no burning on the way out for spicy food. I ate PF Chang's spicy chicken and hot and sour soup without problems. Last night I ate KFC cole slaw and corn that came out whole this morning, again no problems. I might get spoiled and have to change my eating habits again when I get reconnected in the new year.
Each day gets a little better. Usually I get 5 1/2 hrs sleep, but last night I slept all night! I'm sure it was an accident. I'm getting stronger each day. I can blow over 1000 on the incentive spirometry finally. My smart as* husband grabs it frim and sends the marker all the way to the top, simply, and says is that how you do it? Ugh!
Right now my hair is long and has been falling out dramatically. I'm thinking of cutting it short so it will be easier to manage. The falling out thing is driving me crazy. I hate the feeling of a piece of hair on my arm or touching my face.
Mary, I hope you're surgery went better than mine. Your recovery will go well. Pain doesn't seem to be the biggest obstacle. Fatigue, diet, monitoring BM's, sleep are big ones too. I dramatically fatigue around late afternoon, no matter how much I rest in the day. I am trying to nap after lunch, but I find it hard to fall asleep during the day. But just laying down and quiet helps. Small frequent meals helps too. My prayers are with you.
Emma- Have you tried to increase your water intake? And are you eating at regular times? I know how important your schooling is, but you have to pay attention to your body. Your transit time should be faster than 3 days. Maybe Miralax would help? If not resolved soon, Emma, it should be reported. I'll get off my soapbox now.
I love you guys and I want everyone to be well. I'm getting there, I think I have to drive next week to doctors appts. I think that I have wore out the favor card. But I think I'll be ready.
Take care everyone.
Love- Cathy
