Output from back passage???

Hi

Had an illostomey end January 2016, now getting output mucusey stuff from back passage. Is this normal 10 months after opperation. Still getting output from stoma.

Really worried, has my illostomey gone wrong. Please any help much appreciated

You have a loop illeostomy?

Sting, if your back passage isn't sewn up, this is totally normal. I am 2.5 years out from my surgery and I still occasionally get back passage mucous output.

Had my reversal in June 16 and JPouch was left intact due to massive adhesions, although I wanted it gone. I have continuous discharge 2-3 times a day, gradually up to once every hour or so. At this point I need to use a Fleet enema to wash out the pouch, which hurts the same as when the pouch was active. This gives me another month of manageable output before I have to do it all over again. But it is still better than before...
