Hi, Here are my ideas. I would try a barrier ring, but many people bring it all the way to the edge of the hole in their wafer and it swells up thereby creating a turtle neck around the stoma. I have never done mine this way. The nurse showed me how to leave a small gap maybe an 8th of an inch so when it swells it comes just to the edge of the wafer. Also trying a slim Eakin might be better because it is less thick. You might also play around with trying to squish it down almost flat as you get toward the hole but leave the outer edge thick. Another thing I do to get a really good seal, is after I have placed it on but before I attach the bag I wrap a piece of toilet paper a few thicknesses around the stoma to catch any weeping or moisture and apply a little pressure for several minutes until your body has warmed up the barrier and it has molded to your skin. I get six days wear time, even now that I have a hernia and its bulging. Hope something helps
