dealing with bags on a long plane ride

My husband is a quadriplegic with an ileostomy. He needs my assistance to handle and empty his bags. We are planning a long plane ride and are wondering how to handle emptying his bag. He is wheelchair bound and once on the plane, can't get out of his seat, can't go to the bathroom. Has anyone used a tube type draining pouch rather than the usual drainage pouch with an ileostomy, and then connected that to a urinary type leg bag, thereby holding a larger volume of output? Or are there bags that hold more volume?
any thoughts on this problem are greatly appreciated.

I find the Vegan Ostomy channel on YouTube quite helpful and energizing so I check the content now and then. Husband is a quadriplegic for 45 yrs, kidney failure and transplant with urostomy, then with immunosuppression, developed chronic diverticulitis and had "temporary ileostomy" 2015, never reversed due to complications of surgery. Still a happy man, a problem solver and an optimist. Life doesn't end with chronic illness.
