I am wondering, how do wear your pants with your ostomy? To those who wear the bag inside their pants, how does it not smoosh, rub or bother your stoma? Does it not snag on the bag and pull the bag or wafer off? How does it affect your bag extension, or do you just constantly empty the bag to prevent issues? And if you don’t wear it inside your pants, to you alter the pants? Do you have other ways of holding the bag to you or in place? I’d really like to expand how I wear pants because right now I just fold the tops over? But then when I sit it sometimes push up on the wafer and I fear it ripping it off! I just want to be comfortable without constantly thinking about it...

Im a girl i tuck mine into my knickers, they are big knickers lol and not tight on me so it isnt pushing the bag tight against me anyway an it holds it up for me, i dont like to leave the bag hanging out free outside my knickers, maybe your pants are too tight , i cant wear tight trousers ,, o just realised your in america,, by pants you mean trousers yes not underwear,,, anyho You cant wear tight things maybe like i cant,, well i can but it gives me itching i dont think it will make the bag more likely to come off but i havent tried leaving tight things on for very long as its too uncomfortable

I am a female. I wear my bag inside my underwear. I can wear snug clothes but not tight. Too tight and my stoma won't "go". One of the ways I know my clothes or underwear are too tight is if I get cramps, a feeling in my rectum like I gotta go or if I get a headache. Sometimes I wear a light weight control top panty when I have to wear something that requires it. My CRS actually told me to wear the light control panties after surgery for additional support.

I would wear ostomy wraps or high waisted underwear and tuck the pouch in. I would empty often to avoid issues of a full bag, or a bag full of air, but I could go quite a while between if I wasn't near a bathroom. My stoma was to the right of my belly button, a little lower, but my pants sit much lower, so the wafer was above and I would tuck everything into the underwear and then pull my pants up over. I guess it squashes the bottom of the bag and doesn't allow the bottom to fill - might make you have to empty a little sooner. I wear tight jeans often.

I guess I'm the odd ball, I like to wear my bag outside my pants. Where most of my pants hit the waist fits right under my wafer. I like to wear pretty fitted pants and this is the most comfortable for me. I wear a light spandex cotton cami and that holds the bag close and provides enough support for me.

My stoma is to the right of my belly button and a little higher. I wear the bag outside my underwear, and then I wear a wrap to support the bag. Over all this I wear my slacks, which are somewhat highwaisted and have some stretch.
I generally wear knits and sweaters for tops, so they cover the waist area.
