I am sorry you are having a difficult time with your recovery. I had the surgery for UC and it took me a full year to recover, I took naps every day after work in that year. But for me, I started putting on weight because I was no longer sick. Your frequency is not all that abnormal, mine was 20X per day for the first few weeks and slowly over time it dropped. What are you eating? Have you tried keeping a food log and measuring transit time? Are you currently underweight? Have you had a CBC and checked for anemia or B-12 losses?
I think whether sick or well, this surgery or any other major surgery, will take a toll on the body. Fatigue is common in the first year. Your body has been assaulted and needs time to heal. It takes a long time for the small intestine to learn how to act as a colon. Be patient, listen to your body, take good care of yourself and make sure you are eating well.
