Hi Danielle,
I am new here, so you don't know me But I am pleased to meet you.
I have had a total of 4 surgeries, and I have found that the best way to beat the bloat (LOL ) is by walking and walking and walking. My sisters are RNs. They told me from the very beginning that I should walk as much as I could, and then walk some more. That it causes the gas accumulated to move, gets the digestive system to start again, and gives one strength while keeping the lungs clear. So I dutifully did what was suggested. It works! Doctors are always amazed at how quickly I recuperate from surgery in the hospital (and I am 55 years old!) Straight from recuvery, I get off the gurney and get into bed. The moment I wake up, I ask to go for a walk and the nurse always helps me. Within hours (I walk, rest in bed, walk, rest in bed) I am able to get up and walk down the hall by myself. At first it hurt a little, but then it began to feel great.
Just a thought from
