Have you named your Stoma?

Have any of you given your Stoma a name?

I named mine Paloma, because she's exotic and loves Italian food!

i named mine after my ex, because she never shut up either!

haha....

so i was on the lake this weekend, and asked my buddy to head the boat towards the S.S. relief (a floating toilet/boat/deal)

When we started to move, My friend Inga goes...."oh, the SS relief huh?....Hey at least we know it's not Nat who needs to take a dump!", and then my friend Chad, without skipping a beat, goes, "yeah, when Nat asks to use the bathroom, it means he already has!"

it was friggin hilarious....if you have not gotten comfortable enuff to joke with your "normal" friends about this Sh@t, do it, it helps tremendously!

Too funny, Nat, I couldn't agree with you more...laughter IS the BEST medicine.

Hey, that was a brilliant idea to start a photo album for our fellow crohnies! Could you start one for the osties, too? It has been great to see what everyone looks like. Who knows, your next girlfriend might be part of this crazy group?!? You could even start a new dating website called E-Ostomy.com :-)

haha....thanks for the love....actually i invite anyone from either board to post their picture.....maybe we should ask people to post pics of their stomas too!

i thoght of another one...i am gonna name mine George W. 'cause he's so full of Sh@t!

Pictures of your stomas....too much....I am rifl......and I have decided to call my hub's stoma "little booger"....it seems when we are trying to clean him up and replace the wafer that the little booger keeps giving us like the raspberry.....it's really rather hilarious.

In my younger years, I was a fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I couldn't help but name mine Janet. If anyone was ever into the movie there is a song called darn it, Janet! and that's what I say when she starts acting up ....

I named mine Harriet cos it's the best name my 10 year old mind could come up with at the time :)

The best names I've heard over the years include: Vesuvius (cos it erupts without warning), The Stoma Formerly Known As Anus, Little Willie (cos it looks like one lol) and Oscar the Pouch :)

Sorry for the late reply...I just saw this site.

I named my stoma Moby Dick because it spurts like a whale and it looks like the head of a penis! I thought it only fitting.

LOL - Moby Dick . . . that's a good one.  I named my stoma LILLY - mainly because right after surgery I was so out of it I couldn't say ileostomy and it came out Lillyostomy.

The first year I called it Mr. Bubbles cause it sounded like a bubble machine. But it has grown up and had become Mt. Vesuvius. I have had to learn to towel off inside the shower since it can and will erupt without warning.I only get out just before I am ready to put on new pouch.

The other day I bent over to feed my two cats. Moby Dick's pouch made the loudest noise. My cat's totally freaked and looked at me wondering where the noise came from. I had no idea. It then dawned on me that something happened to my pouch. My husband was in the other room and heard the noise too. He yelled their she blows!!! (as in the Moby Dick story). : ) It must have had air or gas in it. I had a lovely puncture in the pouch. : (

yesterday one of my friends (who knows about my "upgrade") came over and used my bathroom not long after i had drained my pouch...

he came out of the bathroom and said, "darn Nat...your bathroom smells like sh@t!"

I said, "I know, that's why the door was closed, i just had to "relieve" myself"

"So it still smells like that then?"

i looked at him, "duh, what do you think it would smell like, roses?"

I would love to see RHPS live again.... it's been many, many years.  One of my favs!  My DH just cannot understand me.  I just sit there and sing along with the whole thing.  I think he'd come around if he'd seen it back in the time that I did.  When is your 6 mo. anniversary?  When is the show?
